Called IPS (International Parcel Service) to setup small shipment of Margarita Mix to a friend in Portugal. Confirmed all details of shipment pickup and drect delivery to my friend in Cascais Portugal. All documents show correct information. All shipping instructions and shipping documents were followed and confirmed - Parcel was shipped to incorrect location.- Parcel was refused as client was required to pay exorbonent additional fees and drive 200 miles where Parcel was processed.-June 2nd, received text from FedEx stating Parcel and item were due to be destroyed.-Approximately June 4th I received text from IPS stating customs has destroyed package.-No communication after those dates from IPS regarding status or options..-June 29th IPS charged my credit card $320 for shipping cost of returning goods to me.-original package only cost $100 to ship from my location to Portugal.If contacted by IPS or FedEx with options and $320 cost to ship, I would have denied.Goods cost $40Customer Reviews
Based on other experiences, it looks like I dodged a bullet with this company. I paid $120 for a package delivery, but I had to redo it, because their software wasn't clear and it made a $400 package look like $1200, so my recipient would have been paying more import duties. When I tried to fix it, their customer service rep. Stacie was about as rude as you can be. So, then I resubmitted it and scheduled a pickup, but the software didn't work and nobody came for it. So, back to online chat I went, and I got lucky. Stacie again. I told her the problem, and she gave me a canned response, so I asked her to clarify it, so instead of being a good rep. she kept sending me the same lame response over and over and not answering my question. I finally had it out with her, and she cancelled my order. Thank you Stacie. Thank God you cancelled my order, because I know your company would have failed. Buyer beware. Our system is very clear to understand, and yes if you need to change information you have to redo the order as all of the information is in the barcode that cannot just be changed. On the second chat when he stated that he was having issues with the pickup he was told to reply to his IPS Shipping Confirmation email to request help. During the chat he was rude and decided that he would tell me how to do my job this was when he was told that his order would be canceled and would need to ship with another company. He replied to the canceled invoice and stated "Eat a ****, Stacie" We have the right to refuse service to anyone and I am glad that we did. He is the one that is rude.She was rude on the first chat with her. Instead of answering my question, she spammed the same canned response over and over. It wasn't clear whether to reply with the scheduler, which I found out wasn't working. So, instead of answering and clarifying politely like I asked several times... what did she do? Just spam the exact same thing over and over. And, here's what I also found out about this disreputable company. Go online and see all the bad reviews for yourself. They currently have $238.00 of my money. And, they never scheduled the first pickup because their scheduler wasn't working. Then, this rude Stacie person didn't even take responsibility for it. I understand that's their m.o. Lack of customer service. And, yeah... I did respond to Stacie that way after all her rudeness. But, I dodged a bullet. What this company, apparently does, based on all the online complaints I've seen is to promise a low cost to ship... then gouge the receiver of the package... basically holding it hostage, until the receiver pays the extortion fee. Thanks Stacie. I am so glad you were so rude. I dodged a big scam. What I said that was rude was I told her she doesn't belong in customer service. That's why she canceled my order. She got her revenge. lolol I hope it tastes good stacie.
