I purchased a small lot of farm equipment from China. This equipment apparently landed at Koch Logistics in October of 2020. I believe the equipment is all on one 4 foot by four foot pallet. Koch never called me or contacted me to inform me it was available to pick up. The purchase price for the merchandise was $1500.00. When I learned that Koch was holding the equipment (from the freight forwarder) Koch informed me that I owed them 850 dollars to store my 4x4 pallet. But they also told me that the no longer had it and it was sent to Murphy Warehouse for further storage. I was told to call Murphy warehouse and I did. Upon reaching Murphy I was told that in addition to Koch fees I owed Murphy $510.00. I asked Murphy representative Jill if the storage fee could be reduced. She said she would check and call me back that day. She never called back. It has been 55 days. As of the middle of December they wanted a total of $1360 dollars to store a 4x4 pallet. Murphy also never called me or contacted me in anyway to notify me my merchandise was being held be them and when I contacted them they never even got back to me. I think this is some sort of scam to make money on storage fees. I have no agreement or contract of any kind with either company. G.O. number is ***********
When I call Koch with a disaster, they don't panic, they find a way to handle it. -Logistics Manager, Best Buy. I talk with Koch daily via email.
