Customer ComplaintsI’ve been trying to add prepaid minutes to my vodaphone, *** *******, but keep getting a message saying it can’t add service (the # was deactivated). I was never told a # could be deactivated if you didn’t add minutes every year. I live in the US but bought this phone in New Zealand because I visit frequently, but had not bought more minutes recently because I had to cancel multiple trips to NZ because of covid. But I need to add minutes to the phone simply to activate features on it (I need to receive texts) & got the runaround from Vodafone agents (told to check later, then that I could get the # reactivated, then changed, then activated by e-sim, & finally that they could do nothing & I would have to come into a store in NZ in person or be mailed a new sim in NZ, which are not possible. This was a problem Vodafone created, & the fact a # could be deactivated was never disclosed, & especially under Covid this problem was foreseeable & avoidable.
