I purchased an elliptical and the delivery date was December 10th. Upon checking the site I noticed the item kept saying preparing for shipping even up until today, December 9th. I asked Wayfair to cancel the purchase because I will be leaving out of town and I don't want to worry about whether the package was stolen from my porch after delivery. Wayfair insisted they could not cancel this shipment. I mentioned to them that it says preparing for shipment so it should be rerouted back to them. That is a note in the computer that would take care of that. Wayfair REFUSED to do this. They want me to take a chance on the item arriving, being stolen, and I still have to make payments. This is not the way to treat customers. I talked with a supervisor who was no help at all. I think the solution is simple, but Wayfair is being unreasonable. If something has not shipped it is not too far in the shipping process. Please note it is still saying a delivery date of 12/10/21 and the item has not shipped. Wayfair has tried to get clever as they have now created some bs department called "Executive Resolution team" because they don't have actual customer service anymore - these are trained individuals who block you from trying to get in touch with someone to actually resolve issues. These people go under fake names. I was sent a dresser in the absolute worst condition ever. To have them come and pick it up was hassle after hassle after hassle without resolution, so the team was a total failure. After months of back and forth with them, they were unable to provide anything to me to make up for the lost time. They expect their consumers to just forget about an issue and move on. They put their issues on their customers instead of the manufacturers they have relationships with which is a disgusting business model. I am making it a point to never shop at wayfair again. ...
