Customer Complaints
Delay in shipping to Dominica, a water heater. Resulting in loss of revenue The complaint refers to the delay in shipping by King Ocean a water heater in the name of ****** ****** to Dominica. The water heater along with a number of other items were delivered to King Ocean on April 2, 2019. On April 10, 2019,*********** on behalf of ****** ****** corresponded by email to Ms Yecenia Ramirez-Bonilla, LCL Traffic Co-Ordinator for King Ocean Agency, email Yecenia.Ramirez@king ocean.com She advised Ms Ramirez that she should proceed to ship all items for ****** ****** , held in storage. She received no response on that email. On April 15th Ms Louisy requested an update from Ms Ramirez, as to whether the cargo for ****** ****** were shipped. Same date response from Ms Ramirez states: "invoices were never received for the cargo I have at the warehouse, without the documentation, I could not load the consolidation" All invoices including that of the water heater were forwarded to Ms Ramirez on the same day, April 15th. Ms Louisy requested whether the documentation submitted were sufficient for shipment, and Ms Ramirez responded in an email of April 15th that " she will have the items loaded this week" On April 17th Ms Louisy forwarded another email requesting an update as to whether "the items for ****** ****** will go out tomorrow" She did not receive a response on this. However on April 25th items cleared from the Port in Dominica did not include the water heater and two sets of bed sheets which were part of the invoices submitted. immediately, an email was sent to Ms Ramirez alerting her that all the items were not received,along with the tracking number for the items. Additionally, a phone call was made to Ms Ramirez to verbally notify her of the missing items. She advised that she was unable to locate same. Mr ****** requested an audience with her supervisor, and she was able to locate the missing items within a very short space of time. The items were shipped and was received on May 2nd. Upon receipt of the water heater, which was purchased at Walmart, Mr ****** realized that the heater was not the one he required. He contacted Walmart same day and was informed that the heater could not be returned because the 30-day return policy had elapsed. King Ocean was contacted and their response was that the delay in shipping was because of improper labeling. This was a very disappointing response as all items received by King ocean were labeled in the same name, as was the invoice provided by Walmart. This was not the first time that Mr ****** conducted business with King Ocean, under the same name. As a result, Mr ****** is seeking compensation for loss of revenue from King Ocean due to their delay in shipment of the water heater
