I have a Balsam Hill Christmas tree that is still under warranty. Multiple light strands are not working. I have tried all their troubleshooting tips and spent a significant amount of time chatting with customer representatives. Once it was determined that I was unable to fix the problem on my own, I was hoping the warranty would offer a replacement tree or at least replacement sections. However, all they are willing to offer is replacement light strands. This seems like a simple solution but the light strands are basically built into the tree and will be extremely difficult to remove and replace. Additionally, the product I'm left with will never look as good as the original. Given my product is still under warranty, I would prefer a replacement tree. The customer representative was not willing to offer this as a solution.My prior order # is H008906357 I would like either the same tree or if I have the option I would be willing to pay the difference for a taller tree.Customer Reviews
Spent hundreds of dollars on a pre*lit tree I thought would last me for years! In fact, the only reason I spent so much money was the fact that it was from Balsm Hill, what a joke. The first two years * great, the third year this year ***** * one*third of the lights on the bottom half of the tree does not work. So, I review the FAQs on ******* and begin to fix the issue * changing fuses, changing master bulbs, hunting for broken bulbs * 2 hours later * still lights don't work. I call Balsam Hill and am delighted someone answers. This is November 29th * ***** is helpful and lets me know that because I did all the troubleshooting and nothing works that I am going to be getting a NEW tree within the next 48 to 72 hours. I am dumbfounded * what a great company. I am telling everyone about my experience with this wonderful company! One week goes by * nothing. So, I call to see where my new tree is. I talk to ******** and she informs me that Balsm Hill never does this and ***** should not have promised this. ******** kindly spends the next hour troubleshooting the potential issues with me ....again. Nothing works. She thinks it might be the main fuse, but because it is hard for me to unplug doesn't want me to pull to hard and says she will send me a schematic of the tree so that I know what to unplug. She tries over email and it doesn't work. So, she says that she will get it out in the mail to me. I wait and wait another week. I call again and now it is December 10th. This time I talk to ****** she informs me that Balsm Hill never mails out anything. She informs me that because my tree is barely outside of the warranty period she can fix it so that get a new bottom half of my tree. However, since it is a Friday the order and confirmation won't go in until Monday so I won't see it on in my email box. Foolishly I believe her * I am an idiot after all of this, but I did think somehow this time after all the run around Balsm HIill would come through. WRONG! I just got off the phone with ******* * my case number was closed and no tree bottom was coming. Ummm nobody bothered telling me*** as I sit here waiting and not decorating my tree. Because my tree was clearance (~$1000 tree) it could not be under warranty. They make up the rules as they go along. So, I asked ******* what next. She said, "string some lights". So I paid $1000 for a pre*lit tree from the supposed top*of*the*line Christmas tree company and after only years of the tree functioning and 3 weeks of their customer services jerking me around I get to string my own lights. WOW * I'd give them zero stars if that was an option. I should have bought my tree at Target where I buy most things....
