Placed an order with Newegg on 11/27, Newegg's website stated it was in stock. On Monday 11/29 received an email stating product was shipping and would be delivered on 12/1 by FedEx Tracking # XXXXXXXXXXXX. My debit card was charged the correct amount on 11/29. On 12/1 i checked status of the FedEx tracking number and it showed that the item was not even in transit, only that a label had been created on 11/29. I contacted via phone Newegg and they assured me that it was in process of being shipped and would be delivered by Friday 12/3. Contacted Newgg today 12/3 and they stated they had to escalate this internally. I requested a call back today and they stated they could not. Please note that reseller stated on 12/01 that it was shipped. On 12/02 same resller states FedEx is to blame for a delay. I am also including FedEx status of shipment as of 12/03 showing only label has been created. I am requesting a full refund of $158.46 as they have not shipped the product and do not know when it will. I am unwilling to wait any longer for the product to be shipped.Customer Reviews
Where to I even begin... my how far this company has fallen. I used to purchase from Newegg EXCLUSIVELY. I wouldn't have given Best Buy the time of the day for my computer parts needs. No more... never again. My second to last purchase through Newegg came about 4-5 years ago when I had items shipped to my previous employer. Fast foward 4-5 years, I no longer work at the same place. I ordered a new MacBook Pro through Apple and with the new setup came some new parts I'd need to order outside of Apple to complete the proper setup. I ordered a Razer Thunderbolt 4 Dock, some ethernet cable wall clips, a USB to HDMI adapter, and a new surge protector. A few days after completing the order, I realized the huge mistake that had been made... Newegg's stupid ****ing website auto defaulted to my old work address. I placed the new address in the order, make no mistake about that. But what had happened was I left one data field in the payment form blank on accident, so after clicking submit, the site auto refreshes to notify you of your form error. In doing so, it ALSO auto defaults to the previous shipping address. I just didn't catch this, and really I shouldn't have had to look that closely. Their website shouldn't do that to begin with!! So here I am trying to get in touch with their non existent ******** *******, explaining to them what had happened. The person on the phone could not have been less helpful or more clueless. At this point, I'm kinda screwed, because my previous employer is quite the drive just to go collect some products, and it's not like I can waltz in there anymore and get my packages. The person on the phone basically said, "well, UPS will have to retrieve the items then". I'm like, "okay, and what if they can't? The IT department there tends to not read shipping labels and assumes it's something they ordered and just take whatever's in there and stick it in the back, then what?" She literally said the following: "then I'm afraid if UPS can't retrieve the items there's nothing we can do". REALLY?????!!! You're website f***s up my order and then you're telling me there's NOTHING you could do as far as a refund seeing as I paid for a product and I'm just not going to receive it?? Really... that's the logical end all answer?? Nah... so I processed an RMA through most all of my items, and luckily caught one item that was succcessfully rerouted to my home address and caught the UPS guy just in time to reject the delivery and return to sender. I ordered all 4 items again through Amazon and not only did I receive everything in 2 days or less, it was actually cheaper. But this isn't where my complaint ends. It gets worse. Not only did they want to charge me $13 to process an RMA for an item I was never going to receive let alone open and use, but the item itself wasn't even worth $12. So how do you call that a refund if I'm returning something but you're charging me more money than I paid initially just for one of the items? That's not a refund, that's taking more of my money for something I ***'t need anymore. That's also called 'theft'. That's not how returns work! Not only that, but when I initially requested the RMA's be processed for the other items, I was NEVER told that I'd be charged for them to be processed. It was NEVER communicated!! So now the items that I never received are either sitting in an office that I have no access to or they may be on their way back, I honestly ***'t know. I sent (now cancelled) RMA PDF's to my previous employer with the intent of them having UPS pick them back up. So now I have no idea what's going to happen. All I know is, I'm ******, I'm never using Newegg in the future and Newegg... you a**holes owe me: $41.49 for the APC Home SurgeArrest P8U2 Surge Protector $11.99 for the QGeeM USB C to HDMI Adapter Cable & $10.17 for the Nail in Cable Clips and I REFUSE to be charged additional for returns. When placing an order on Newegg To confirm it is the purchaser's sole responsibility to ensure that the correct address is provided. At check out before you submit the order, the shipping address is displayed twice, so if any edits are needed there is an opportunity to do so. In the event that you did place the order and then noticed the incorrect address was used, we do ask our customers to reach out to us as soon as possible so we may be able to make the edit or cancel the order if possible. I am sorry but since the incorrect address, was provided by the consumer we are not at liberty to provide a refund for these orders. I do understand these returns were initiated by the consumer which was able to have one shipment returned to sender while the other items were delivered to an old address.
