We placed an order with West Elm for ~$5,700 in September and October, specifically targeting all items which were listed as ‘in stock’, mostly for furniture for our infant. After numerous follow-up calls, always initiated by us, we were repeatedly told to wait as everything looked good and our order was just delayed. Eventually, following escalation, we discovered that one part of the order had been lost in transit, while the other part had never even been placed (!). The first (lost) part they are now telling us they can resolve in Spring 2022, while the second part which is stuck in their system, they cannot resolve due to ‘IT issues’ and suggest that we place again, without any reassurance that it will work the second time through. The ‘senior manager’ supposedly looking after us refuses to get on the phone, and responds to my emails with sarcastic messages about our expression of unhappiness. Horrible customer service, they delivered two table tops that were damaged, would not compensate me, shipping times were much longer than expected, customer service was rude, and did not care that they shipped damaged products. I would expect this was ordering from a store like target, not west elm. I will never purchase another product from here....
