We were provided with a shipping quote for a delivery, when we went to set up delivery, we were told they cannot and were being charged for storage. We were given an arrival notice on 12/11, and we sent it to our customs broker to file the release. Land Air Express gave us a quote for delivery, for once we had it cleared through customs. They got the release 12/15, so we contacted them to arrange the delivery, and were told that actually, they are unable to, two hours before their end of day. While that was fine, and we can schedule the delivery, Storage Fee was set to begin on the 16th, and they were unwilling to waive the $** storage cost, despite us getting a pick up scheduled as soon as we could, the next morning. It seems reasonable to assume that if we are given a quote, that we will be able to have it delivered. They tried to argue that because it was a slightly different address, the quote was invalid, but if they had delivered to the address it would have been the same location (they're two doors on the same building). I'm just deeply disappointed in their customer service, since they were unwilling to help us even slightly, even though the delay is due to the fact that they were unable to set up shipping after all. Normally our customs broker would have automatically scheduled the pick up but since Land Air had given us a quote already, we wanted to make it as simple as possible.
