I was searching for guitars for my daughters birthday and spend over an hour to find the one that she would be thrilled to have. On 7/19/2021 I purchase the guitar and a ukelele. Spent a total of $291. And till this date u I have not received the guitar. I’ve had to be the one to write emails following up for them to tell Me that it will be another month and so on and now is October and I still have to follow up and nothing about the guitar. I feel that’s false advertising from them To display an item that they don’t have. I want my guitar that we chose.Customer Reviews
I am beyond disappointed. My fianc ordered this guitar first, couldnt afford it and had to cancel the order. I called and ordered the same guitar plus custom case, strap, and stand as a CHRISTMAS and birthday gift. I spoke to the same customer rep ************************* through the process of ordering, emailing, and the call back after receiving the guitar. When ordering I stated vehemently this is a a Christmas and Birthday gift, to please change any of his contact info off the account and change all correspondence to my email, phone, address etc. so that my fianc WOULD NOT KNOW. I was assured no one would call him and ruin the surprise during ordering process. I emailed **** back because I saw the order still had my fiancs address as the purchasers address. I was told that it was updated and that Im a great gift giver! I stated I was excited for CHRISTMAS. After getting the gift I was given a call from **** to see how he was liking the guitar, I again stated this is a gift and he asked when I would give it to him and I told him CHRISTMAS. I asked again, please do not call or message him. He again assured me that no one would reach out to my fianc and ruin the surprise. Im excited and glad I received the guitar safe and had our Christmas planned out. This was the only gift I was giving to my fianc as it was expensive and had great value to us. A lifelong gift for my fianc. I dreamed and have thought about daily about how I was going to wrap my gift to him and his here to put under the tree. Its a guitar, case and another package so they were huge! I had them stored in a closet he wouldnt see. I saw my fianc last night and he said I have something to tell you promise not to be mad. A customer sales rep called him and asked him if he liked his guitar and how it was going. He couldnt talk at the moment so texted the number back. My fianc, confused, said do we have to hash this out again I couldnt buy the guitar what are you talking about. The rep realized what he had done. My fianc realized it was purchased already and asked the rep if I had called and ordered the guitar. The rep confirmed it. As hes telling me all the color and happiness drained from my body and I knew our Christmas would not be the same as I had dreamed of. I was devastated. I asked him who called and messaged him, he said it was ****. A call this morning confirmed it was ********. At a moment when my fianc finding out was supposed to be gleaming eyes and happiness on Christmas Day turned to me feeling stunned and speechless in November. Its not even a month before Christmas! This was all I could afford for a big surprise! Not only for Christmas but for his birthday in January. These gifts were for both! After he told me all of this I felt defeated and realized I had to now give him the gift early. You cant make a guitar player wait for a guitar he wanted so bad and couldnt afford and now KNEW I possessed. I reluctantly realized I have to own up to buying it and that his gifts would be ruined. I show him the guitar and his gifts, but while I should be happy and glad he is opening his gifts I cant help but feel crushed and broken. Your promise to keep this a secret was crushed and betrayed. I could not enjoy these precious lifetime moments because of your service representative who PROMISED me this would not get to him. This is our first Christmas together, EVER, and even that, engaged! I was so happy and looking forward to Christmas together. And it was supposed to be topped off by him being the happiest man ever on Christmas Day. As hes opening his gifts he tells me its the first time hes ever unwrapped a guitar, even that its his! He was gleaming and smiling and marveling at it. Im taking videos and pictures and I cant even be happy at these moments because they were spoiled and wasnt even supposed to be happening! My memory of this guitar, and him opening his gifts and a Christmas that wont happen has been ruined. Thank you **** for not delivering your promise. I was so intrigued by the craftsmanship of the guitar from Sweetwater but could not be happy. This meant so much to me as you can tell. Sad part is, is that I dont even want to be angry bc my fianc asked me not to. I am. I am angry, I am in disbelief, shocked, disappointed and sad. I still cant believe he now has his Christmas and birthday present. In November. Thanks to **** and your company. And now I have to come up with payment and a gift, to give him a Christmas and birthday he actually deserves. For this reason I will NEVER purchase another Sweetwater instrument and will not refer anyone to your company. And I hope to have a happy and LONG life with my future husband. Hopefully the next guitar I get him will have the same quality as your company. You have ruined this experience for me. It was also my first time buying and dealing with any guitar company.
