Customer Complaints

On November30th,2021 I scheduled a payment for the amount of $4,877 on my TJX rewards credit card.This payment was scheduled to be charged from my the bank account on December2nd,2021. On December1st I made an adjustment to the scheduled payment-I simply updated the payment from $4877 to $5000. On December 2nd, 2021- when I checked the bank account I scheduled the payment with, TJX had charged me for both payments the $4877 and the $5000. On December 2nd once I realized that had happened- I called right away. I spoke to a customer service rep who said I would have to allow for both payments to be processed and posted on the account in able for them to issue a refund. He said once both payments are posted on the account they would be able to issue a refund in ***** hours. I called again today 12/3/2021 since I saw both payments had posted- spoke to another representative explaining the situation again- she said since the payments had posted they were not able to issue the money directly bank into the bank account that they would have to wait a 7 day grace ****** and THEN they would be able to issue a check for the amount of $4877. I asked how it was possible the first agent told me it would take ***** hrs once the payment posted now its **** business days. I am very frustrated and confused as to how they do not have a well informed staff- especially when it comes to situations like this dealing with large amount of money. I would like a full refund of the mistakenly charged amount of $4877 back into my account or the process to be expedited. I should not have to wait **** days for money that I had because it was paid directly from my account and on top of that it was not my mistake-if the online website didnt recognize updating a payment from creating a new payment I should not be punished for that. It is incredibly shocking that I have been a loyal customer for 3+years whos never made a late payment and I know how to schedule/update a payment and they refuse to help
